ABOUT GRACE BIBLE CHURCH
THE GOOD NEWS WE SHARE
The gospel is the good news about what Jesus Christ has done to reconcile sinners to God.
Here’s the whole story:

The one and only God, who is holy, made us in his image to know him (Gen. 1:26-28).

But we sinned and cut ourselves off from him (Gen. 3; Rom. 3:23).

In his great love, God sent his Son Jesus to come as king and rescue his people from their enemies—most significantly their own sin (Ps. 2; Luke 1:67-79).

Jesus established his kingdom by acting as both a mediating priest and a priestly sacrifice—he lived a perfect life and died on the cross, thus fulfilling the law himself and taking on himself the punishment for the sins of many (Mark 10:45; John 1:14; Heb. 7:26; Rom. 3:21-26, 5:12-21); then he rose again from the dead, showing that God accepted his sacrifice and that God’s wrath against us had been exhausted (Acts 2:24, Rom. 4:25).

He now calls us to repent of our sins and trust in Christ alone for our forgiveness (Acts 17:30, John 1:12). If we repent of our sins and trust in Christ, we are born again into a new life, an eternal life with God (John 3:16).
A good way to summarize this good news is to biblically unpack the words God, Man, Christ, Response.

OUR HISTORY
Grace Bible Church is a body of believers gathering in Millet, Alberta. Our purpose is to worship Jesus Christ, serve God and others, and grow spiritually-through the proclamation of God's Word, through the fellowship of believers, and by the Holy Spirit's work in our hearts. Initially, we met as a group at the Brightview Evangelical Church in the countryside south of Millet. We became aware of the need for a church in Millet in the Spring of 2024 and have been praying for God to use us in bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the town since that time. Our heart is to be a blessing to the people of Millet by sharing the Good News that has transformed our lives and by sharing the love that has been poured into our hearts through God's Grace toward us. We hope to give residents of the Millet area a place to worship God, to fellowship with believers, to find help in the trouble of life, to find joy in Christ, and to be received into the Body of Christ through faith in Him.
OUR PASTOR
Dan Sudfeld is the pastor-teacher of Grace Bible Church. He is a native of Winnipeg, MB, but has lived and pastored in Alberta since 1998. He is married to Marlene and has four sons. He has undergraduate and graduate degrees in biblical studies and pastoral ministry. His passion is to study the Bible and then to disciple the church by preaching the Bible. He believes the Spirit of God will use the Word of God to bring conviction and transformation to the hearts of the hearers. He believes this is best accomplished through the primacy of, what is called expository preaching.
